Concept: War has made us fight back with togetherness! Few people believed me that we could amass over 40 people in one building during our war-torn days. I suggested a coffee shop on a sunday mornging and everyone hesitated. I then offered the idea of a festive Chanukah party with jelly-donuts and latkes. The idea began to have a form, and in the end 41 people came to celebrate. Ah, but we broke the non-believers numbers, “we can’t ask 40 people to assemble during this scary war. What if there is an attack in Northern Israel? How would these people find shelter? But they came and celebrated anyway, why? Because people NEED TO SEE and HUG EACH OTHER WHEN WE ARE MOST WORRIED AND STRESSED!
What we have done, where we are going, growth and finding friendship, learning new skills and understanding the power of working together as a team of voluteers.
Purim coming!
